Hi! I saw in your album you asked for tips for growing out the edges. I lost my edges too due to not basing my scalp before getting a relaxer and I lost a lot of the hair on the crown of my head. I have pictures in my albums of it. I think it's under braid out or something like that. Anyway, I started massages castor oil mixed with sweet almond oil onto my edges, b/c they are both meant to promote hair growth. It worked like a charm! Not only did the hair come back, but it can back stronger. I've heard some ladies use stimulant products to re-grow hair, things like peppermint oil and cayenne pepper. I know they'll add a couple drops of the peppermint oil to a carrier oil like castor or coconut oil. As far as the cayenne pepper, Naomimaxine is the expert on that here, and there's a thread on it as well. HTH and welcome to BHP!

Heyyyy BHP. It is that time. Today is August 12, 2010 & this day marks my 10 month anniversary of starting my hair journey. I am so very happy that I have the time to post this update on time, instead of days later.lol Now let's get to it. From the ups & downs, to trying new things, I can truly say that this has been a journey, & I truly truly love every single moment of it. 1. Shampoo & Conditioner
I use pantene pro-v relaxed & natural. I don't like this shampoo & conditioner line better than optimum care stay strong shampoo & conditioner, but I will use it until it is gone. Anyway, a clean environment for your hair is so important for hair growth. Your hair won't be at it's best growth potential if it is dirty. I wash my hair once a week, no more than 2 weeks that I will go w/o washing my hair.

Hey BHP!!! I know i shouldve updated u guys earlier, but wednesday (05-12-10) was my 7 month anniversary!!! YAY!!! I cant believe its been this long. but here's the update: last saturday i went to sally's to pick up some things. i got silk elements megasilk moisturizing treatment (im gonna start deep conditioning, plus it was 2 for $11 16oz), i got a color brush for application (99¢), jaw clips, & large bobby pens. then i went to walmart & got some v05 conditioner so i can do protein treatments....
So BHP I got a perm 2day!!!! Its bitter/sweet because i wanted to stretch longer but i wanted to see my growth. but i am pleased with my growth. i use Mizani mild relaxer. hardly had any burn. And i will go back to my no-heat regimen when i wash my hair in 2 weeks. But im glad its over. See My Pics. Leave a comment/question if you have one. Thanks For Reading
