    Hi naturaljourny, I flat ironed my hair mostly during the process. But, I wouldn't recommend doing that. I did do some braidouts which helped. And I also did rollersets. Try co-washing with Suave tropical coconut conditioner. Use Lustrasilk shea mango cholesterol with your twistouts/braidouts. Mostly, try to not put heat on your hair. Blowdrying and flat irons are not your friend. They will also cause your hair to lose it's natural curl pattern. I think that my hair survived with the heat because I only flat ironed once a week.     no, im not transitioning or going for a big chop. I am just stretching out my relaxer.I have about 4 or 5 more weeks to go.

well this is my first blog on this site. i am going natural for a second time. but this time i am transitioning. and man it is a very skip and a jump process, but i am learning about my hair. i have been looking and listening to how others have gone about there transition, taking some tips from them. i want to put my hair in cornrows for the summer a cute style without extensions? and would like to know how long i can keep them in? is it possible the whole summer? if you have tips of what will...
