Cooler months: Glycerin can be a bit of a pain from my experience with it, but it depends on how cold it gets there...w/our weather glycerin doesn't work for MY hair (it gets freeeezing up here tho 5 months out of yr lol) so I say try it and see. Only chane it if it doesn't work. Shea butter may be a good substitute to provide softness and retaining some moisture. HTH

Hey, Yeah I'm done w/school for now, but I have been out of commission though job hunting and waiting to start my career.

K, now for answers: A Leave-in is good, but not necessarily essential. I use Giovanni Direct Leave-In or Brendita's Super Moisturizing Conditioner as one. It all depends on your hair tho, if it's fine w/o it I say, "If it ain't broke don't fix it"! Depending on what's in your water bottle spritz, it may already be serving as a leave-in.

I've yet to try the coffee rinses; glad you're seeing great results from it though. Keep doing it as long as you get desirable results.

I don't focus on protein much either, i just know when I start to notice splits or my hair is breaking a bit that I need to do some protein treatments. I say listen to your hair and use protein when needed. I use ORS Replenish pak or ApHogee K&GT spray. When your hair cries out for protein, use it....u don't necessarily need a set time to do it tho.
