Thanks for sharing! That's a simpy enough regimen. I'm trying to get my mom (relaxed) to simply and lay off the heat but it is hard. I'm taking baby steps with her

Ok so when I wash this weekend I'll use a reconstructor...What poo do you use, I tried the bodifying from Elasta didn't really care for it no lather...Also what do you use for setting or wrapping lotion...I have been back and forth on this I have just about every brand, looking for something soft not hardening. Ok I never self-relax either to afraid too. I am trying to find some staples going to the BSS as soon as I work off Friday am....

Girl, your hair is gorgeous and healthy looking that's what I'm trying to accomplish, thickness not so much length.. Well I have been off and on this journey for about a year but 'm etermine to get the thickness I want.... See I haven't really mastered the 2 strand or twist out styles..Thanks for sharing and I do think I need more protein, i have been using aphogee hardcore protein but not once a month... I will though and what do you recommend for the reconstructor... I did write down the Elasta QP DPR-11 and I was thinking about the moist part too... What do you use for everyday and do you moist and seal every day too? Thanks for your responds!!!

Do you maintain your hair at home???I'm trying to find staples for long stretches, I have problems with keeping moistured and after washes tangle problems. I haven't relaxed since May but it is difficult not to lose hair due to breakage, I know because of moisture problems. What are some of your staples?? Thanks and do you rollerset mostly during stretches..

Medication, new and cheaper products, and more patience

by ashleyjones008 on 07-12-2010 at 08:49 PM
I've been gone for awhile, but I am back. lol. Grad school is kicking my butt and I just need to take a break from the blog. But, I never forgot about yall....and the points I used to have on here. lol ah well....

I am on Claravis right now, the generic form for accutane. So, I am drying up a lot! My skin, my lips, my scalp. I was scared about getting a relaxer but all has turned out well. I have not had any significant hair loss while being on the drug like some others have reported

Looking for a good Deep/Intensive Moisture Treatment

by ashleyjones008 on 09-09-2009 at 09:27 PM
I finally emptied my intensive moisture conditioner. It lasted almost 6 months but I do not want to purchase it again. I had the Mizani brand. It cost $28.

I am ready to try something else. I was thinking about Elasta QP DPR mositure treatment. I had a sample package and I loved it. I am interested in what others are using.

Again I am not looking for just a regular conditoner, I have plenty of that and dont need to add to it. I am looking for a deep, penetrating moisture

Just Random

The hardest thing about taking care of my hair is keeping it up. I know that may sound stupid but I hate when I have one style for so long....But, I know I have to get over it. I dont plan on getting my next trim until August 4th and my next relaxer (in 3 months) will be around the end of September. My goal is to bun until my next relaxer. I'll make it....and I better see results! ;-)

Also, my stylist underprocessed my hair and I got a bad chemical burn. So, I am wondering if a.

Done with my stretch!

by ashleyjones008 on 06-24-2009 at 01:01 PM
So, I sucessfully stretched to 3 months! and relaxed today. My stylist was amazed how my hair (new growth) curled up and told me I should only wait 2 -2 1/2 months.......I thought about it but you know what....I may wait another 3months again because my hair did fine.

I do think I need to go to her within a month in a half to get my ends clipped instead of waiting 3 months. My hair seems fuller but I dont know if I really am gaining any significant length after my trim...and she

I found a new love...Olive oil Replenishing pack

by ashleyjones008 on 05-05-2009 at 11:56 AM
I bought two packs at Walmart last weekend (Olive oil Replen. pack). I see it all the time and I havent heard much about it but I wanted to try it any how. Since my new growth is thickening up and getting a little difficult to tame I am on the look out for anything that can help.

So, last night I sprayed my moisturizer on my hair and braided it up and covered my hair.

This morning I took my hair down combed it as best as I could and coated my hair
