You know a non-chemical relaxer reverts right?
I wouldn't waste my time, to be honest. I'd just get my hair flat ironed.
I hear milk and full-fat yogurt are great, but they're so temporary. That's what makes it a tease :-(
And they only last until the next wash.... boo!

    Regimen:
    Wash and condition weekly.
    Allow to air dry.
Apply oils to hair and scalp.
Gently brush through and wear a simple style.

    Pointers:
-I allow my hair to dry almost completely before styling, brushing or combing (aside from shower detangling).
-I trim only when absolutely necessary.
-I only wear like one or two oils. Products are too complicated sometimes.

yea...she basically does it to her daughters hair to make it more manageable...like every 2-3 mos she said...I personally wouldn't do this to my hair...just maybe my niece or something to help so I wouldn't relax...man we have really thick hair in my family! Especially when its 100% natural..my hair was MBL when I was natural and I hated my mom to touch it!
I think its basically just for kids hair.

It's sorta like the curlaway product it softens add some degree of straigthens to your hair, but it doesn't last as long as a relaxer would.

But if you wanna be chemical free then it's an option.

yea I read up on the curl-away product.. but I just like being able to be in control of the ingredients and mix it myself..when I have my daughter I will do this!

I wouldn't waste my time on that either if I wanted to use that as a relaxer. As a moisturizing treatment to make hair more manageable, I think it might be worth the effoer, especially since my hair has been known to break combs.
In time I've come to wonder why; why can't I have my blueberry muffin batter ice cream?

Six Inch Challege FTW! Hair type- 4 whatever it is.

Try Jesus, and if you don't like him the devil will always take you back.
    Thanks, Ev!

What does the finall result look like? It looks like a really good moisturizer and/or something that would help soften ng between relaxers (for those like myself who chemically relax). I might try this with my daughter as a DC since it's winter and cold and dry (the HIGH this weekend in Calgary is -24 before the windchill!). I'm not expecting her to have straight hair from this, just more conditioned hair.

I do something like this every wednesday.
Except, I braid my hair in the same concoxion (sp?) but not in the purpose of straightening but to detangle and soften.

Try it!!! It doesn't go wrong, and the more you use Curlaway the straighter your hair will get.

Curlaway has vinagar in it, and repeated use will straighten your hair and freshen-up your relaxer, and the Coconut relaxer just softens the hair for it to be flat ironed. Both are good options!!!! The whole goal is to keep hair on your HEAD!
