    Default Baggying

Is this just putting the little plastic cap on and letting it sit? I am sorry to say, don'[t know what is? I am trying to develop a regiment for healty hair and I am learning from you girls. But so lost on so many concepts. Please explain...thanks ladies.

    Hey Sheshe,

only baggy when your ends are really dry. dont just put it in your regimen bcuz everyone else does. if its not done right you can get overly soft, mushy hair that can lead to breakage.

I deal with dry hair issues too. So with the baggying, it's what, a clear bag when you conditon.?.I'm sorry, I am a little slow today.

yup! I normally use a plastic shower cap to baggy since I baggy the whole head. only use a quarter size amount of your moisturizer...a little goes a long way under the plastic

I only "baggy" when Im doing a deep condition

Im to paranoid about the sound it would make if I did it outsde.

And also I think its only good to do when your hair is freshly washed As IMO the environment you're creating on your head is perfect for bacteria and saprobionts to grow.

Dead skin cell (food source) moisture, and bearable heat (from our body). Im just a paranoid person, (with a scientific background)
And If you're just baggying the ends, your just stopping moisture from leaving the atmosphere your hair is in. Why not just seal with oil, and get the added benefits, without the rustling of the "bag"

Quick question, If you're baggying your ends, how would you just baggy the ends? Do you still use the bag on the whole head. I baggy when I am deep conditioning too under the dryer, rarely just for conditioning.

When a professional does my hair, they use the little plastic clear bags to let it set in and condition the hair. It's funny I never heard of it as baggying until I got on forums.

I apply a plastic cap on my head or ends at night right after I've completed my nightly moisture treatment to my hair.

Theres no conditioner involved, no heat...just the baggy (plastic cap/bag), your moisturizer and a sealent (thats optional).

I still do a deep conditioning treatment after I wash with a plastic cap as well.

Sunshyne, how long have you been baggying? And have you noticed any length differences between baggying and nonbaggying?
