    Default pH of Hair

The pH of hair seems to be very important as to how our hair will be/quality etc, there is this product I am researching and reading up on at the moment; I may add either one of these to my regime as I have plans on getting rid of about 3 other products which I don't think my hair is liking anymore.

Roux (Porosity Control Shampoo & Conditoner)

I will update on the Roux line - so far I can see other ladies on other site raving and praising it big time as it has added/change the quality of their hair.

pH 2.0: hard; smooth; not resilient; breaks easily
pH 4.5 to 5.5. greatest strength; lustre; flexibility
pH 6.0: not as hard; smooth; very resilient; resists breaking
pH 10.0: rough; not very resilient; tends to break easily
pH 12.0: very rough; not resilient; tends to break very easily

    Default PH balance

Is there anything on the market that you can use to check PH balance. If not, you sure could make a lot of money if you could make and market one. How do you know what your PH is? Is there certain products to bring PH to a normal state ? What products can you use to assist with PH? Is there a kit?

Anything acidic will bring the pH balance of your hair back to normal. For example, ACV rinses are good, Porosity control conditioner, pH balanced shampoos etc.

So far I have not been able to find anything that can determine the pH of hair unless you have a hair analysis done by a scientist, but that is more technical than I care to be. As stated in the previous post, ACV rinses will decrease the pH levels in the hair, but also know that baking soda raises the pH in hair.

If you want to know the pH in your hair products (if the package does not contain that information) you can use pH test strips--you could probably find them at a drug store or Wal-Mart.

It's a base just like any other relaxer. I'm wouldn't be surprised if it did.
In time I've come to wonder why; why can't I have my blueberry muffin batter ice cream?
