Hair Vitamins

I do not take any vitamins for healthy hair. I don't even take a multi-vitamin, I feel as though I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need through foods.

Get you some vitamins.....Well you would get all the vitamins and that you need from eating food it the soil was not so deficient of nutrients. They have planted on the same soil for so long and genetically altered the seed for what ever reason. Let me give you an example. My mom would eat watermelon when she was a kid and take the seed a spit them out by the back porch and a watermelon patch would grow there from the seeds. If you go to the store and get a watermelon and do that now nothing will grow because they have altered the seeds. So we are eating food that have been messed with (In more ways than one) from seed to, to dirt, to shelf. That is the reason you should be taking a multivitamin.
I know too much information! |

I totally agree with Acire30. We need vitamins and minerals. When I took vitamins alone I had some defiencies, but when I added minerals life was much better. Our food doesn't contain what we need anymore. I to have knowlege in this area.

I have no deficiencies or any health problems. My diet for the most part is well balanced. If (I stress the IF) I was to take a vitamin it would be a multi-vitamin & I would not be taking it for hair or skin-care reasons. I'm well aware that foods now a days are being altered, animals are being fed antibiotics and growth hormones. Hints the larger children and earlier and earlier menstrating girls. But there are other options, instead of relying on pills to maintain health. Plus, the post was regarding vitamins for healthy hair... not a healthy body. So ladies, take your vitamins if you need them...I'm not saying don't take them. I was just making a point that you do not need to take vitamins for healthy hair because you can get what you need from foods. If you want un-altered foods stop into Whole Foods or check out a local farmer's market.

I usually just take a multi-vitamin from Trader Joe and also some form of fish oil since I seldom eat salmon etc. When I do run out of vits, I just take maxi hair, for overrall health. I am looking forward to trying out the liquid multi-vitamins though.
