There is a question mark in this title because I am not 100% decided that transitioning is for me.

I've been relaxed since primary school days, and my hair is RATHER nappy, 4b I believe. Anyway...I'd been struggling with my hair a lot over the last few years, with lots of breakage etc since I migrated. Sooo I've been asking myself if being natural is the best thing for my hair, since though it has improved recently, it is now thinner than it used to be, and very dry.

It's been a funny week for my hair, and I'm not sure what I've done wrong. I used a protein conditioner for 15 minutes, then did a DC for about an hour afterwards, then I wrapped my hair and sat under dryer for an hour till dry.

Well today was the day that I 'christened' my hood dryer. I shampooed, then used protein conditioner for 15 mins (no heat), then a moisturing conditioner with some olive oil mixed in - under dryer for 30 minutes.

After I washed it out, I wrapped my hair and sat under the dryer for one hour. It wasn't a perfect wrap like you get in the salon, but it was pretty good for my first wet wrap. When it was dry I combed it out just to see the finished product, and I was pleased. Not...

Well, I've finally taken the plunge and bought myself a hood dryer - not the tall salon type ones as they were quite costly and I have no space at home for it, but the tabletop BaByliss ones. I'll be doing my first DC and dry-wrap on Monday - and I can't wait!

I hope this will help me in my quest for healthier hair.
