Becoming more Frugal

I have never been what you would consider a frugal individual. I have always had the mentality, "Hey I work hard everyday, I've earned it" I would'nt say that I live outside of my means, as I earn a sufficient salary to have most of the things that "my little heart desires" My bills are paid on time. I even pay extra on my bills to cut back ion interest. And,I always head straight to the clearance racks first! I am a bargain shopper.... But I just shop too much. Hey, I like to shop, no let me say, it is my passion to shop! I just love the malls, department stores, online shopping, catalog shopping,beauty supplies, I could go on and on. And I know that I am not alone in this, as I come from a line of shoppers.

Unfortunately, the economy is in a downward spiral and it is continuing its trend. Have you been to the grocery store lately...the prices of food are thru the roof! Let's not even mention gas! Who knows what is to become of our country economically and the unknown is very frightening to me. I shudder to think of my children's fate in America! So I am making a heartfelt and genuine vow to devote my extra money to savings. No more unneccessary spending for me! I have decided to do away with all of my Spiegel catalogs, cut up my credit cards, stay of the malls, delete HSN from the remote, and cut back on ANY spending that is not absolutely necessary. With the cost of gas now, I am considering parking SUV, which is practically paid for, and purchasing a hybrid. Maybe even a bike.
I vow to be a more frugal person, a penny pinching mama! I can only hope and pray that God continues to Bless America.
