Update on Hair Journey

Here it is Tuesday, June 24. and a lot has happened with DD and me on this journey of naturalism!!!
Poor DD hair hasn't been permed in weeks...her permed hair is thinning out and standing out in her pony tails as long stringy thinned stands of hair. I might have tell her I'm clipping ends again......Her new growth is beautiful and well tamed, I have been using the blow dryer on her hair after washings...I think maybe the next time I will try letting it naturally dry and moisturizing the roots/ends instead.
I will be so glad when her hair comes around and all that permed hair is taken care of and I do mean taken care of! I have parted her hair in many, many triangles for pony tails and wrapped pretty hair ornaments on the hair.

As far as my journey goes, I am very happy. Yesterday for the first time after washing and conditioning my hair, I decided to let it naturally dry. I use my hair mayonaise and botanical oils, beauty4ashes detangler to keep it nice and moist as I combed it. I put a beautiful head band underneath the hair and combe the hair over the band in the back...
Finally i can see my hair retracting and drawin up at nearly most of the ends. I never thought I would see this natural state again...the natural texture and look is finally coming around and my roots are so tamed and manageable...maybe my age to has something to do with my new growth texture...it was never this straight n curly in my 20/30's....It was curly, and nappy as naps could get.
I read somewhere that after a woman goes thru certain stages of her aging her hormones and hair texture changes....I notice that in my mom as well she is 70ish and her hair has changed to a beautiful and very manageable texture of hair...she'll never have to see a perm or flat irons again...in the remainder of her life! So, great news....that's something beautiful about aging gracefully
