Weekly Hair Journey
Instead of making separate daily entries to my "hair journey" progress...I've decided just to attached or edit more info. on 1 entry page. I love simplification and my goal is to become better at leveraging and simplifying all areas of my life
SUN. (6/8/08)Church Day- I took down my dd plaits...which made natural looking big pretty waves as a result, I bumped the ends then pull the ends back out with my fingers...great wavy look.
-----------------
As for me, I had plaited my hair all over the night before and I took down all the plaits and tried to obtain the "wavy-look" for my hair as well; however, it diasterous- I ended up trying to rein curl the hair instead...it was a bad hair morning for me and nothing I tried could revive a better style.
MON. (6/9/08)I went to Walmart bought a natural moisturizing body bar/soap (no artificial fragrances, colors, or preservatives. No synthetic detergents. Biodegradable. No animal fats. PRODUCT NAME: "natural care Tom's of Maine" and there's a website on the soap box as well.
I choose this brand over the other 3 "natural brands of products" because his ingredients came closest to being most natural and thank God, it was the cheapest! You know what they say about cheap "you pay for what you get" but there are some out there who might agree: "not in all cases is this cliche true".
I bought plain yogurt and yesss!!! Finally a jar of MAYO. and not Salad Drsg. Now, I can start looking more thoroughly into my conditioner recipes, once again.
As I watch my dd jumping in/out the "kiddie" swimming pool, I'm noticing that her hair is yet so full of perm from ends to from maybe 3 inches away from her new growth. So, if I were to cut away her perm. completely she would only have maybe 3-4 inches of hair left...and she would never let me live this one down.
That's why this will be a difficult but hopefully fun battle. I'm going to have to treat to textures of hair...her permed hair while I tamed and grow the natural hair...until the permed hair is finally ready to be chopped off...(my goal is to grow the new growth a decently long length...then cut off the perm hair...which she by then will not miss as much)...makes any sense?
Oh well....Agenda for today: Wash/Style Hair Day. Maybe try the Mayo. recipe.

TUES. (6-10-08)
Nothing much to blog about...tell me it's imigination...but I'm noticing already a tidbit of growth in dd's hair. The best thing is she's not experiencing breakage, the hair is much stronger. When making plaits, the shorter new growth sticks out away from the longer permed hair...can't wait till all those inches of desired new growth finalize enough to do a nice even cut. In the meantime I'll just clip dead ends.

Didn't do much of nothing to my hair other than comb/brush it back...it is so hot!!!!
