nothing really corrects split ends other than cutting...you might want to consider trimming your ends or the search and destroy method which is can be very time consuming depending on how severe your split ends are ...hth

What about the petroleum in it? That's why I haven't bought it.

There`s no petroleum
Ingredients:
Hollywood Beauty Oil Complex , Mink Oil , Sweet Almond Oil , Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) , Jojoba Oil , Paraffin Oil , Safflower Oil) , Lanolin , Cocoa Butter , Propylparaben , Fragrance

But it has propylparaben and that's not good, is it?

Well, I saw it mentioned somewhere and I was meaning to try it. I thought I saw somewhere on the ingredients list something about petroleum.

If you`re sealing it`s fine. Lots of people use it their scalp and love it.
Unless you have a hormone imbalance parabens are safe.

Well, I'm convinced. I'll stop by Walgreens tonight and get some. I'll use it for sealing my ends. Thank you PurplePeony.

This mat be what people were confusing with petroleum (although it is classed as a mineral oil)

I bought two jars years ago, because it was less than $3. It was so thick, I couldn't thin it out. Eventually, I used it up but I decided not to buy anymore. It's good for the ends though.

I make my own now, since I have so much stuff here. I'm trying to use up my products before they go bad. If they go bad, I just melt them and mix it with my conditioners.

I've used it and I LOVE it. I don't use it anymore because I can no longer find it locally. :(

Isn't Paraffin Oil essentially another name for Mineral Oil? And isn't Mineral Oil a no-no??

Bingo! Yes, it is. They just know how to get you to buy these things because of the fancy name.

Ever since I stopped using products with mineral oils and so called paraffin, my hair is healthier and well hydrated. My moisture levels are good at this point.
